First Robotics Scholarship

Award Description

Georgia Tech has established a $5,000 scholarship (non-renewable) for an incoming first-year student who has been actively involved in a participating FIRST team during his or her junior and senior year of high school. This need-based scholarship is offered annually and can be used for any course of study.

Application Process

  1. Ensure that your FIRST experience(s) are listed somewhere among your activities in your Georgia Tech Application for Undergraduate Admission.
  2. Visit https://finaid.gatech.edu/apply/fall-first-year to find links and details for three required applications:
    1. Must complete the GT Application for Scholarships and Financial Aid
    2. Must complete the FAFSA
    3. Must complete the CSS Profile

All three applications are available October 1 but due January 31.

Priority for selection will be based upon need with additional consideration for depth of involvement in FIRST experiences.

The GT FIRST Scholarship recipient will be notified in early April. Alternates may be notified as late as mid-May.
